How can you really enjoy sleeping outside? This is only possible in a bed with full comfort. And so we had the crazy idea of developing a bed especially for sleeping in the open air. This idea gave rise to a completely new type of outdoor bed: the SkyHeia.

Pure Comfort – Also During Assembly and Dismantling

The SkyHeia is weatherproof, you can assemble or disassemble it in two minutes without tools and stow it compactly in two bags and transport it. And the most important thing: together with your favorite mattress, it is as comfortable as your bed in the bedroom.

Sleep in Your Own Bed – Even on the Road

With the SkyHeia you always have your own bed with you, no matter whether you go on a big vacation, announce yourself at the weekend at friends or go on an adventure tour. You don't have to do without your usual comfort and can simply conjure up your outdoor bed from your bag.

The Bed

If you place two SkyHeias next to each other, you get an outdoor double bed for two. — It's twice as nice when there are two of you: in just a few easy steps, the SkyHeia becomes the ZweierHeia - a comfortable outdoor double bed.

The SkyHeia outdoor bed in a double combination as a double bed — The special feature: you can connect the mosquito net with that of the neighbour's bed. You simply take out one side part, connect your cocoon with the neighbour's by means of a zip and, poof, the ZweierHeia becomes a cosy cave for two! With our system you can connect as many beds as you like. How cosy!

A rain cover is also available for the SkyHeia.

The anodised aluminium surfaces give the SkyHeia an additional noble shine that makes it really glow in the moonlight. The bed consists of 12 parts that are barely visible from the outside.

The best thing: You don't need any tools to assemble the SkyHeia. All parts are simply plugged together and the bed frame is additionally locked with tension locks. An absolute novelty!

You can see how the two bed spars are connected with a tensioner. — The two halves of the side rail are securely connected in the middle with a smart system. In this way, the SkyHeia can withstand static loads of up to 150 kilograms. Incidentally, no fewer than 88 stainless steel screws are installed in each bed! More of a high-tech product than furniture.

To compensate for unevenness in the floor, the feet of the SkyHeia can be extended up to 5 cm in height.

We have developed two particularly high-quality bags for our outdoor bed. They are made of polyester fabric with particularly high abrasion and tear resistance and are water, oil and dirt repellent. This means your bed is well protected during transport and can also be stored safely.

The picture shows a collapsible outdoor bed in a black bag. The footboard of the bed made of anodized aluminum can be seen. — Bag 1 contains 4 head and foot sections. Fabric protectors ensure that the parts are neatly separated from each other so that no scratches occur during transport.

The 4 side rail halves and the 4 slatted frame elements are stowed in pocket 2. By the way, the order of assembly and disassembly was taken into account when arranging the individual parts in both bags. That is Smart Packaging!

Even more comfort with accessoriesYou don't have to worry about annoying visitors. There is a mosquito net for the SkyHeia, which you can connect to each other just like the beds. Very cosy. And that's not all. We are constantly developing further accessories: soon we will be able to offer you protection against rain and dew. This will give you even more nights that you can spend in the fresh air!

A sustainably produced outdoor bed

In order to keep the ecological footprint of our outdoor bed as small as possible, we use resource-friendly aluminum. The use of hydroelectric power produces only 4 kg of carbon dioxide per kg of aluminum during production, which is a quarter of the global average. In addition, the SkyHeia can be dismantled according to type and can therefore be recycled to 100%. All parts are connected with stainless steel screws and toggle fasteners. Our SkyHeia is "Made in Germany" and has a damn long life expectancy, so it's also a sustainable product in this respect.

Social Thoughts

In the production of the SkyHeia, we deliberately include handicapped people. The outdoor bed is assembled by people with disabilities in the Waldheim workshops. near Bremen. The Accessories

The SkyHeia outdoor bed in a meadow with a mosquito net enclosing it like a dome. — A really useful accessory is the mosquito net. With it, you turn the SkyHeia into a cocoon that protects you from uninvited guests. The best thing about it: the black net fabric is so opaque that you can still see the stars!

The assembly is child's play. The result is a spacious dome with a feel-good character.

At the highest point of the arch, the two arch rods are connected with a crossbar via a T-piece. Here is a close-up. — A connecting rod in the middle of the dome provides additional stability. This is connected to the arch rod by rubber adapters.

The SkyHeia, the bed for sleeping in the open air, is in a meadow, the mattress and bed linen are no longer on the outdoor bed. You can see the partly rolled-up mosquito protection, which gives a glimpse of the aluminum slatted frame. — The mosquito net can be easily rolled up. The cotton fabric woven into the bottom protects the net fabric.

A look inside the bag of the SkyHeia outdoor bed: the transport bag also holds accessories such as the mosquito screen. — By the way, the accessories, poles and mosquito net fit easily into the bag with the head/foot sections (bag 1).
